Abstract
405,748. Sinks. ACME WRINGERS, Ltd., and BURT, J. W., 97, David Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Oct. 1, 1932, No. 27303. [Class 26.] A domestic washer, sink, and wringer equipment comprises two adjoined cabinet units of which one, 1, is provided with a sink 2, taps 5, soap recesses 4 and sockets 7 for receiving the tongues 8 of a shelf 9 as in Specification 384,065, and the other, 24, is provided with a gas-heated washing-boiler 14 surmounted by a shallow container 13. An opening in the bottom of the shallow container is filled by a lid 18 in which a manually-actuated stirrer is carried. The boiler and sink drain connections 151, 15 discharge into a common outlet. The unit 1 is provided with a pivotod board 10 which can be swung from the vertical position shown in Fig. 2 into the horizontal position shown in Fig. 1 wherein it overlies the shelf 9. The unit 24 is also provided with a pivoted cover plate 23 and with a pivoted bracket 27 having a socket 28 in which one of a pair of studs depending from a wringer frame is received, the other stud being received in another socket (not shown). The wringer may be swung into and clamped in an operative position above the partition between the cabinet units. When not in use, it is swung so as to be adjacent the cover plate 23 and, when the latter is lowered, is housed in the container 13.
