Abstract

476,497. Washing-machines. ENTWISLE & KENYON, Ltd., and KENYON, J. M. June 9, 1936, No. 16082. [Class 138 (ii)] A washing-machine B is pivotally mounted in a cupboard A having a removable or pivoted cover A<2> so that when the machine is required for use it may be swung forward to the operative position shown and when not in use may be housed entirely within the cupboard. The machine may be provided with folding legs E held rigid by struts e, e<1> and may be held in the inoperative position by a catch D engaging a striking-piece b<3>. A folding wringer F, which may be provided with a folding or removable handle F2, as described in Specification 457,205, [Group XXXI], may be pivoted in the cupboard to swing down into a horizontal position when not in use. The wringer is retained in the operative position by a catch G engaging a projection f<1> on the wringer frame.
