[Class 138 (ii).] For raising and lowering the table cover of a folding mangle or wringer automatically and simultaneously with the movement of the turnover frame to and from operative position, the table cover C is provided on its underside with a bracket E having a cam slot e in which a pin F, Fig. 2, on the turnover frame B engages. In a modification, Fig. 9, the table cover is connected by a link G which has a lost motion connection at F with the turnover frame. The table cover may be provided with a rigid hook engaging a foot or lug b<1>, Fig. 2, on the turnover frame when the latter is folded, or it may be provided with gravity catches K<1>, Fig. 9, engaging the stand frame A when the machine is folded and which are automatically unlatched by the engagement therewith of lugs M on the turnover frame on the initial rising movement thereof. When raised the table cover assumes a position above the main frame and behind the rollers of the turnover frame.
