446,117. Wringers and washing-machines. HOWARTH, G. L., HOWARTH, T. T., BALDWIN, H., and WEST, E., (trading as HOWARTH & CO., G. L.), Healey Wood Road, Burnley. Dec. 27, 1934, No. 37025. [Class 138 (ii)] The downwardly projecting pins d at the foot of a wringer frame D are secured in sockets carried by a bar F which is pivoted on a rod G extending between two sides of the casing B of a washing machine. When the wringer is in the operative position a slotted bracket H carried by the bar F engages an eyebolt h pivoted at h<1> externally of the casing and provided with a wing nut a'. When the wringer is folded to the horizontal inoperative position the extension of the lower roller shaft to which the crank handle is secured is received in a recess b in the casing and the wringer rests in a dished plate C in which the tank A of the washer is received. When not in use the casing is covered by a table top E.
