Abstract
389,638. Mangles and wringers. ENTWISLE & KENYON, Ltd. and REDFEARN, J. P., Ewbank Works, Accrington. Feb. 19, 1932, No. 4918. [Class 138 (ii).] In a folding wringer or mangle wherein the turnover frame is counterbalanced and a table top, pivoted to the stationary frame, is raised and lowered coincident with the movements of the turnover frame, the counterbalancing spring E or weight (not shown) acts on one member of a pair of toggle levers D, D<1> pivoted to the stationary frame and turnover frame respectively. A link F, Fig. 1, or cord F<1>, Fig. 5, connects the toggle lever D to a lug g depending from the table top G which is pivoted at a<1>. As shown, the turnover frame is pivoted at a and occupies an approximately horizontal position when inoperative. The pivots of the links and levers may be adjustably secured to the frame and table.
