Folding mangles and wringers.-The bases w of the sides 2, 2<a> of the folding frame are secured to brackets 5, 5a which extend parallel to the folding and stationary frames F, S, and are provided with lugs b, Fig. 2, pivoted on the turnover shaft 6 and with extensions b<1>, Fig. 1, which span the turnover shaft and prevent longitudinal movement of the folding frame. The brackets are formed with extensions d, d', Fig. 3, on which oppositely directed projections f, g are provided, to the former of which catches 7, 'Fig. 2, are pivoted which engage projections 8 on the stationary frame. Catches 12 on the under side of the table cover 4 may be engaged over the other projections g so that the table cover may be suspended as shown in Fig. 2 when the mangle &c. is in use. Alternatively the table cover can be removed entirely. When the machine is folded, other catches 13 under the table cover engage the projections 8 of the stationary frame.
