Abstract

531,020. Combined washing and wringing machines. DEAN, W., and DEAN & SON, Ltd., W. H. July 8, 1939, No. 19987. Addition to 510,858. [Class 138 (ii)] The combined washing and wringing machine of the parent Specification wherein the wringer is adapted to fold down from an operative position to an inoperative position over the washing machine, and is held in operative position by pivoted gravity catches engaging abutments or pins in recesses in the feet of the wringer, is so constructed that the recesses 18 in the feet open downwardly and the catches 16 extend upwardly through apertures 26 in the top plate 3 of the washing machine which has thickened parts 9 with discs 27 over which the recessed feet engage so as to prevent liquid passing into the apertures.
