475,253. Washing-machines. KUBICZA, G. April 23, 1937, No. 11654. [Class 138 (ii)] A pressing plate 5 which is vertically reciprocated within a rotatably mounted perforated receptacle 3 is flatly domed in two stages, and the lower portion is radially corrugated and perforated. The shaft 6 of the plate is slidably mounted in a bearing member 29 secured to the cranks of the reciprocating mechanism and may be locked thereto by a thumb-screw 27 engaging in one of a number of holes in the shaft. The receptacle is rotated either at a low speed or at high speed through gearing 22, 20 or 22a, 20a.
