Abstract

417,312. Thermally-actuated valves. TWYFORDS, Ltd., and WEBSTER; J. T., Cliffe Vale Potteries, Newcastle Road, Hanley, Staffordshire. April 12, 1934, No. 11020. [Class 135.] The supply of hot water through an inlet 3 to a chamber 2, where it is mixed with cold water entering at 6, is controlled by a sleeve valve 17, having triangular slots 18, actuated directly through a vapour thermostat 9, the lower end of which is fixed on a rod 10. To assist mixing, a perforated baffle plate 19 is secured to the valve stem 14.
