Abstract

181,455. Doulton, H. L., Corby, S. F., and Pleace, R. J. March 9, 1921. Mixing-valves.-A hot water inlet passage b and a cold water inlet passage c are controlled by piston valves i, j, respectively, which are carried by a yoke h operated by a screwed spindle g. The piston valves are provided with cup leathers m, n which are arranged at unequal distances from the yoke h so that the cold water valve is first opened and then the hot water valve to give a mixed supply of wa.rm water. Further downward movement of the yoke h brings a disc q on to its seating, so that the cold water only is delivered.
