415,780. Cans for oil. INTERNATIONAL PATENTS DEVELOPMENT CO., 17, Battery Place, New York, U.S.A. March 2, 1933, No. 6427. Convention date, Jan. 14. [Class 66.] A can for oil has a spout 17 rigidly secured within a seating member 15 seamed to a flanged opening formed in the top. The base 22 of the spout, which may be raised as shown, is formed with pouring and vent openings 24, 25, through which corresponding perforations are made in the part 15 when the can is to be used. The pouring lip is directed towards a corner of the can top, and the forward edge is downturned at 20, the sides being beaded. A flanged cover 26 is provided, deep enough at the outer end to bear on the bead 13 of the can.
