Abstract
415,347. Reversible seats. CLARK, D'A. M., 1, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London.-(Naamlooze Vennootschap Handelmaatschappij voorheen Hollander & Kohn; 81, Kunstraat, The Hague.) March 14, 1934, No. 8064. [Class 52 (ii).] In a chair with a reversible seat, the seat 3 rests normally on the edges of opposite sides of the frame 2, and a link mechanism at each side connecting the seat to the frame comprises a two armed lever 20 pivoted to a point 21 on the frame, the upper and longer arm of which is pivotally and slidably connected to the seat frame 10, and a single armed lever 24 pivoted at the point 21 to the fixed frame and at the point 25 to the seat frame. Links 17, 18 are pivoted to the lower and shorter arm of the lever 20, and to a point 26 intermediate the ends of the lever 24 respectively, both links being pivoted to a common point on a reversing handle 14 pivoted at 12 to the fixed frame. A forward stroke of the handle 14 reverses the seat into the position shown in Fig. 3.
