Abstract

493,316. Nesting chairs. LYONS, E. D., and ISRAEL, L., (trading as LYONS & L. ISRAEL, E. D.). April 22, 1937, No. 11501. [Class 52 (ii)] In nesting chairs of the kind stacked by sliding them horizontally one upon another, as described in Specification 344,159, the frames are provided with sides having horizontal parts d, which are supported upon the corresponding parts of the next lower chair when the chairs are nested, and have pivoted seats a which allow the chairs to be closely stacked. Each side frame comprises a part c, d, e and a part g, h, i, the latter part being situated outside the former part and joined thereto by distance pieces. The seat a lies between the parts d, and is pivoted to lugs m and provided with stops o. Specification 450,678 also is referred to.
