Abstract

614,522. Tables and the like. BROADHURST, C. J. July 18, 1946, No. 21548. [Class 52 (ii)] Tables, desks, &c., constructed for nesting by means of one pair of legs being more widely spaced than the other, are provided with tops or lids which are movable out of the way when being nested. As shown the rear pair of legs A are more widely spaced than the front pair of legs C and the top D is hinged to a rail F so that when in nested position the frames B rest upon one another. The raising of the top D to an appropriate position enables the centre of gravity to be brought nearer to the more widely spaced legs and permits of a higher stack being built.
