Abstract

414,821. Condenser yarns. ROTHWELL, Ltd., J., and ROTHWELL, S., Longholme Shed, Rawtenstall, Lancashire. March 31, 1933, No. 9686. [Classes 120 (i) and 120 (iii).] In producing a condenser yarn having a spun core yarn g of greater tensile strength and higher counts and a condenser yarn covering of less tensile strength and lower counts, the spun yarn core is led direct to the dividers C and thence with the divided sliver to the rubbers D where the covering yarn is rubbed around the core. The spun yarn g (20-30 counts) is led down from the cheeses, bobbins or tubes G on the creel F through the guide eyes K over the cloth covered guide roller H and guide bar L into the dividers C and thence with the condenser yarn (3-10 counts) to the rubbers D where the spun yarn g becomes embedded in the condenser yarn as a core.
