[Class 20 (iii).] A vehicle-window regulator comprises a pair of crossed levers which are pivotally interconnected at 21 between their ends, and which have their ends connected to or in engagement with the sliding sash 4 and a fixed frame member 6. One lever carries a toothed sector 8 engaging with a pinion of the operating mechanism. In the form shown, this lever comprises two separate members 18, 20 which are spaced apart laterally but rigidly interconnected at points 21 and 22, to provide a loop or slot for the reception of the other lever 19. The lever 18, 20 is pivoted at 7 to the frame member 6 of a vehicle door and slidably engages at 24 with a slot 13 of a bracket 12 secured to the sash. The lever 19 is pivoted at 25 to the bracket 12 and slidably engages at 26 with a slot 15 in a bracket 14 of the member 6. The slots 13 and 15 are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the guides 3 of the sash. The points of interconnection between the levers and the frame and sash are all equidistant from the pivot 21. The guides 3 may comprise a felt-covered rubber lining of channel section or, alternatively, the edges of the sashes may be guided between felt beads 39, Fig. 6, mounted in grooves 40 of a garnish moulding 37 and door panel 38.
