Abstract

409,784. Current and pressure meters. ANSELL, E. C., The Oaks, Fairfield Road, Barton-on-Sea, Hampshire. Nov. 15, 1932, Nos. 32223 /32 and 31411 /33. [Class 37.] A multi-range measuring instrument comprises a number of movable scales or dials arranged as facets around a rotatable drum switch for making connection to the galvanometer coils. The drum, Fig. 6, preferably contains a tapped shunt or series resistance 28, and the galvanometer coil 17, Fig. 1, is also tapped. A development of the scales 1 .... 8 is shown in Fig. 1. In a modification the instrument has in addition a main scale which is read in conjunction with the drum scales. A dry battery 44 and fuse 24 are clipped inside the instrument casing.
