Abstract
409,133. Propelling aeroplanes. JUTTING, B. G., P.O. Box 105, Newton, New Jersey, U.S.A. April 18, 1933, No. 11314. [Class 4.] An aeroplane has a blower 8, arranged in a chamber at the forward end of the fuselage, which delivers air to transverse passages at the leading edge of a main plane 2 and of a tail plane 13 from which it issues rearwardly through series of independent nozzles 11, 12 above and below the surfaces. The air is sucked through forward openings 7 in the fuselage. There may be a tractor propeller in addition to the blower 8.
