Abstract
190,506. Barker, J. C. June 28, 1921. Planes, construction of.-A series of ridges 5 on the underside of a plane 1 extends from the trailing edge 3 towards, but not so far as, the leading edge 2. They may decrease in size the further they are from the longitudinal axis of the aeroplane, and may be arranged singly or in sets. They may be of triangular cross-section, as shown, and be tapered at front or rear.
