Abstract
408,009. Drying gases. WHESSOE FOUNDRY & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., Darlington, and GRANT, A. G., 86, Coniscliffe Road, Darlington. Aug. 11, 1933, No. 24089/32. [Class 34 (i).] In gas dehydration apparatus in which a heat transferring fluid is circulated through two interchangers in a closed path, the gas before dehydration passes over the tubes in one interchanger and after dehydration over the tubes in the other interchanger, and in each interchanger both flow and return tubes for the circulating fluid are provided. In the form shown, gas supplied through duct b<1> passes over the gilled tubes c in the interchanger band through duct b<2> to the dehydrator, in which dehydration is preferably effected by cooling. Gas returning through duct a<1> passes over the pipes c in the interchanger a to the outlet a<2>. The circulating liquid, which is preferably of low viscosity, passes from the pump c<9> to a chamber c<4>, through pipes c, to the chamber c2, through more pipes c to the chamber c<5> and so to the second interchanger and back to the pump.
