407,871. Spectacles. BIRKENSTEIN, F., 147, Mainzerlandstrasse, Frankfort-on- Main, Germany. Aug. 8, 1933, No. 22145. [Class 97 (i).] In a spectacle frame consisting of soft material provided with metal reinforcement, the metal wires or rims 6 into which the lenses 5 are fitted are sprung into grooves in the surrounding rims 1 of soft material, and are provided on their nasal sides with sleeves 10 to receive the ends of a wire 8 passing as a reinforcement through an aperture 9 in the bridge 2. The metal rims can thus be readily removed or exchanged. The rims 6 are provided with metal lugs 3, 4 to receive the temple pieces.
