Abstract

369,904. Spectacles. HEAL, W., 58A, Hatton Garden, London.-(Wurtz, E. ; Post Box 331, Rathenau, Germany.) Dec. 29, 1930, No. 38965. [Class 97 (i).] In spectacles in which the bridge serves merely to unite the rims and pads are provided to bear on the sides of the nose, the pads are formed as integral extensions of the rims themselves. The rims and pads are preferably formed of non-metallic mouldable material such as celluloid. In the form shown the lenses are mounted in metal eye wires 12 united to a bridge 14 of such form as to escape contact with the face. The wires are surrounded by celluloid rims 11 with which are integrally formed the pads 15 to bear on the nose. In another form the celluloid rims constitute linings for metal eye wires.
