[Class 5 (i).] A slicing-machine comprises a flat feed table a, a cutter wheel d fitted with knives e operable vertically on one side of the table, and safety guide and feed plate mechanism g, k hinged vertically to the table in a position normally at right angles to the cutter wheel. The knives e are adjustable in their slots d<1> by set screws f. The guide plate g is lightly spring pressed inwardly and the feed plate k is manipulated by means of a knob m. Stops j, n limit outward movement of the guide plate and inward movement of the feed plate, respectively.
