Abstract

783,068. Potatoes and chipping. TOMADO N.V. April 10, 1956 [June 8, 1955], No. 10873/56. Class 5(1). In chipping potatoes by pushing them through a frame 18 of crossed knives 17 the pusher 7 is faced with a corrugated plate 14 in which the corrugations 16 have transverse cuts to clear the knives so that the parts of the corrugation can enter between the knives and so push the potatoes right through the knives. The plate 14 is detachably mounted on the pusher 7 by pushing its tongues 19 through openings in 7, and swinging a pivoted lock bar 20 into notches in 19, by rotating its finger grip wings 21. The cutter frame 18 is removably locked in position by a lock bar 22 pivoted at 11.
