Convention date, Oct. 19, 1932. [Class 38 (ii).] Relates to grid control systems for arc discharge devices of the kind in which an A.C. voltage b of the same frequency as the anode voltage is superimposed on a bias voltage, and consists in employing as the bias voltage an A.C. voltage e of a frequency high as compared with the anode voltage and of such magnitude that the combined voltages exceed the critical ignition valve k whilst neither alone exceeds that value.
