Abstract
405,914. Magnetos. SCHRIEK, P. C., and BEIJERMAN, J. J. H., (trading as BILTHOVENSCHE METAAL INDUSTRIE), 22a, Rembrandtlaan, Bilthoven, Holland. Aug. 30, 1933, No. 24043. Convention date, Aug. 30, 1932. [Class 35.] In a magneto wherein the magnet is secured to a flywheel having its disc portion on the side of the armature remote from the engine, the stationary parts are carried on a plate held against a collar concentric with the shaft by clamps which are fixed by screws accessible through a hole in the flywheel disc, the plate being adjusted by displacing the clamps in a circular guide. As shown, the aluminium plate 9 carries the armature windings, core, pole-pieces 7 and the circuit breaker, and is fixed by screws 10 and a pair of clamps 11 to a collar 12 on a cover 13 which is screwed into the crank case, the clamps being slidable in a groove 19. The magnet 3 with its two polepieces 6 is secured to the flywheel 1 by means of an aluminium ring 4 and a layer 5 of hard insulating material. The armature core also carries a lighting winding.
