[Class 8 (ii).] A safety device for a gas bottle comprises a screw plug g received in a screwthreaded socket in the end fitting b and bored to hold a fusible plug h. The bore is enlarged at the inner end, forming a shoulder which prevents ejection of the plug by gas pressure. The plug forms a tight joint either at the inner coned end or at the head.
