196,627. Laderer, H. April 21, 1922, [Convention date]. Stuffing-box joints. - A tube joint comprises screw-caps m, n, a screw collar or distance piece i, and double conical packing-rings k, l. The distance piece i is provided with right and left handed screwed ends and on screwing up the caps m, n the packing-rings are gripped between the bevelled edges of the distance piece and the screw caps. If a collar similar to i be secured for example by soldering to the end of one tube, a joint may be made wiith a second tube, using only one packing- ring and one screw cap.
