[Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A joint for fluid-pressure systems is shown as applied to securing an end cover c on a hydraulic cylinder a, the cylinder and cover having screwthreads of the same hand but of differing pitch. A coupling nut e having two screw-threaded portions engaging the cylinder and cap respectively draws the cylinder end face on to packing f located in a recess in the cap.
