567,754. Pipe &c. joints. WESTLAND AIRCRAFT, Ltd., and RICHARDS, S. T. A. Dec. 31, 1942, No. 18606. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXXVI] A seal for pipes, cables, &c. u passing through a wall a comprises a rubber &c. packing d, either formed in two parts or slit to enable it to be positioned on the pipe &c. without threading, and clamped between plates h, i, also in two parts, by bolts &c. traversing the wall orifice. In another form, clamping plates slotted to straddle the pipes &c. u are provided in addition to the plates h, i which are made small enough to enter the orifice. The surfaces of the joints or slits in the rubber &c, packing may be cemented after assembly.
