[Class 40 (v).] A modulating system comprises a carrier source 1 coupled in opposite phase to the plate circuits of a twophase rectifier such as two triode rectifying valves 3, 4. The grid voltage is varied by the signal applied through a transformer 12. The modulated output is taken from the plate circuits by the coupling 8.
