Abstract
398,000. Ball or tube mills. OFENBAU GES. and BANGERT, H., 105, Kaiserwertherstrasse, Diisseldorf, Germany. June 23, 1932, No. 17779. [Class 59.] In a ball mill the fresh hot gas enters with the material to be ground into the drying chamber and the return gas is led separately through the drying chamber so as to prevent it coming into contact with the fresh material until the latter has passed, in contact with the fresh hot gas, through the chamber. Material from the hopper c falls into the drying chamber e where it is exposed to the fresh hot gas from a pipe a. The dried material is then raised by vanes f and deposited in a grinding chamber g. The return gas enters through a pipe b, which may be provided with a removable extension d, and passes with the fresh hot gas into the chamber g from which the fines are carried in suspension to a sifter k and outlet l. The coarse material from the sifter k falls down the cone h to a conveyer i and is returned to the lifting vanes f.
