Abstract
369,330. Drying and grinding fuel. ALLGEMEINE ELEKTRICITATS-GES., 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin. Feb. 3, 1931, No. 3429. Convention date, Oct. 15, 1930. [Class 59.] In a plant for disintegrating moist fuel, a preliminary drying is effected in a mill through which the fuel passes on its way to the main mill. Moist fuel enters a preliminary mill 1 through a hopper 2 and is dried and carried off by hot gases supplied through pipes 4, 3, to a separator 7 from which coarse material falls back to the mill 1 through a pipe 8 and the fines are delivered through a pipe 6 to a cyclone separator 9. The material deposited in the separator 9 is fed to a main mill 10 the fines from this mill being discharged in a current of hot air supplied by the pipe 4 to a separator 12 and thence by a pipe 13 to a fan 11 for discharge to burners or storage, The fan 11 may be connected to the cyclone 9 by a pipe 14. The mill 1 may supply a number of mills such as 10.
