Abstract
397,086. Wharves. RAVIER, S. L., 19, Avenue de Tourville, Paris. Sept. 6, 1932, No. 18994/33. Convention date, Sept. 11, 1931. Divided on 395,534. [Class 68 (ii).] In a modification of the pile-supported quay or wharf described in Specification 395,534, the platform 33 is supported by vertical piles 50, 51 and inclined piles 52, 53, the latter being arranged in staggered relation to the former. The platform has a retaining wall 13 and rear depending flange 34 for retaining the earth at the top of the slope, the foot of which is retained by slabs 53, which may be integral with the piles 50, or may be driven between them. Wooden projecting piles 56 and a bollard 57 are shown.
