391,366. Wharves. BRISTOW, R. C., Ernakulam P.O., South India. Oct. 3, 1932, No. 27468. [Class 68 (ii).] In the building of a wharf or like structure in unstable ground piles are driven in rows 2 .. 5, at intervals progressively diminishing in the direction towards the foot of the slope of the unstable ground. As shown, the front row forms a wall 1, which may be of sheet or interlocking piling, or caissons, or monolithic ; the structure is completed by bracings 6 and a sill 8.
