Abstract
409,753. Piles. SNOW, F. S., and HAWKINS, P. W., 1, Queen Anne's Gate, London. Nov. 7, 1932, No. 31379. [Class 68 (ii).] A modification of the pile described in Specification 397,526 consists of two parts only, an upper section and a lower section. As shown, the main lower section A of rectangular cross-section, has a rectangular recess D in its upper part ; this section is driven until its upper end is near the ground, the access D is filled with cement grout, and in it is set the spigot E of the upper section C, which is stocked in various sizes. The united sections are then driven to a final set. The spigot may be on the lower member, and the recess in the upper. The sections comprise reinforcements K.
