Abstract
386,069. Concrete paving ; walls. ENDERBY, H. M. and JUDSON, C. C., Municipal Building, Canterbury, Kent. Oct. 28, 1931, No. 29855. [Class 20 (iv).] Cracks are induced in concrete roads, floors, and walls cast in situ by embedding therein metal, concrete, or other bars b which are provided with longitudinal top and bottom ribs d and also key together the adjacent slab portions a, a<1>. The upper and lower surfaces e, f may be slightly curved or tapered, and the bars may be self-centering end to end by a pin-and-socket joint. In a modification, the bars are cruciform in section.
