Abstract

396,839. Sliding doors, windows, and the like. REYNARD, C., 20, Rue Voltaire, Alfortville, Seine, France. Feb. 26, 1932, No. 5777. [Class 20 (iii).] A sliding door, window, or the like, of the kind comprising leaves 1, 2, 3, adapted to slide horizontally, and independently in guides in a hollow frame the surface of which is free from projections, is characterized in that the lower frame member or sill has an inclined perforated base. The guides 7, 12 which are secured to the leaves may be supported on upper rollers or on lower rollers 10 mounted in the hollow member. Draughtexcluding felt, rubber, &c. may be secured to the meeting edges of the leaves. A rod 6 may be secured to one leaf and adapted to move the remaining ones. Rain water drains through the holes 15 in the base.
