Abstract

396,446. Displaying; boxes. SHIRLEY, F. J., 68, Rosebery Road, Muswell Hill, London. Feb. 4, 1932, No. 3389. [Class 3 (ii).] In a display device of the kind wherein a tray is hinged on a wall of a box so as to swing about a horizontal axis, the tray is mounted on the outer face of a side wall of the box between its top and bottom edges. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a collapsable tray 16 formed from a single blank is attached to the box 14 by members 49 .. 52, the member 50 being secured by adhesive to the wall 18 and the member 51 arranged to move parallel with the member 49. The box is formed from two blanks and is provided with a flap 40, hinged at 41, and a lid 38 to permit of access thereto. The tray may be swung vertically to lie against the wall 18 to facilitate storage and transport. A display member 70 of cardboard or like sheet material is supported on the wall 18 by stamped-out lugs 71, 72. Fig. 9 shows a modified form of box wherein the back is formed with a hinged flap 85.
