Abstract

228,290. Barker & Dobson, Ltd., and Town, W. R. Nov. 16, 1923. Contents, viewing lids.-A display box is provided with an auxiliary detachable transparent lid C having flanges b<2> on three sides which fit the inside of the walls of the box and on the other side a hinge flap b<3> which is held against the inside of the rear wall either by the contents or by cardboard' strips which are secured to the side walls. In a modification the transparent cover is hinged about a side adjacent that which bears the main lid a<1>. The main lid a<1> may be supported in the open position by a metal arm a<3> which is pivoted about an eyelet a<4> in the lid and engages with the rear wall. As described in the Provisonal Specification the flanges b<2> may fit either within or on the outside of the walls of the box.
