Abstract

396,353. Lubricating chains. KJAER, V. A., 16, Hoyensgade, Copenhagen. Nov. 25, 1932, No. 14138/33. Convention date, Jan. 12. Divided application. [Classes 12 (ii) and 12 (iii).] Lubricant is injected into the hollow interior 10 of each pin 3 of a linked chain through nozzles 16 spaced from the pins 3 and mounted on a disc 17 which rotates with the chain wheel 15. Each pin 3 and a surrounding bush 4 have radial oil holes 11, 11a, and longitudinal grooves 13, 14. Rings 12 prevent lubricant escape at the ends of the pins 3.
