Abstract
388,957. Centrifugal spinning-apparatus for artificial silk. BRITISH BEMBERG, Ltd., Hazel House, Milk Street, London. May 4, 1932, No. 12904. Convention date, May 4, 1931. Addition to 373,500 and 376,140. [Class 120 (ii).] In the arrangement for reciprocating the guide tube of centrifugal spinning - apparatus described in the parent Specification, as modified by Specification 376,140, the traverse drum 61, driven through gearing 63 .. 66 from the shaft of the motor which drives the pot, is given an adjustable reciprocating movement bv means of a bowl 73 which engages suitably shaped guide surfaces on the drum, so that the extent of the movement imparted to the guide tube may be adjusted to variable conditions such as the titre of the material and the height of the spinning pot. The guide surfaces are compounded into a single surface 75 on the end of the drum and the bowl 73 is adjusted radially thereof, the drum being driven by a splined connection from a member 76 and maintained against the bowl 73 by a spring 72
