Abstract

367,725. Centrifugal spinning-apparatus for artificial silk. BRITISH BEMBERG, Ltd., Hazel House, Milk Street, London. Aug. 12, 1931, No. 22821. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1930. [Class 120 (ii).] The guide tube of centrifugal apparatus for spinning artificial silk is reciprocated by means independent of the drive of the spinning pot and of the main drive. The reciprocation may be effected by spring mechanism, an electric, water, or compressed air motor mounted directly on the casing of the apparatus, for example on the cover or on the side of the pot or on the casing of the motor. As shown, a clock spring 5 operates a cam drum 6 connected to the guide tube 3, the whole being mounted in a casing 4 arranged on the cover 14 of the casing of the pot.
