[Class 8 (i).] In a beating device actuated by an electro. magnetic arrange. ment, the electromagnet c, d, is mounted on the nozzle b and a strap g, carrying the beater or brush n, protrudes through a slit m in the nozzle wall and also carries the armature e. The strap is pivoted at f and is influenced by a spring h, and also carries a contact for closing the electric circuit during the stroke. Specification 289,367, [Class 8 (i), Air and gases, Compressing &c.], is referred to.
