492,203. Centrifugal spinning. NEGISHI, E. May 10, 1937, No. 13270. Convention date, May 19, 1936. [Class 120 (ii)] A high speed spinning- machine comprises means such as vanes 6 for imparting a spiral or like rotating movement to fluid for initiating the twisting of the material as it passes from the drawing - apparatus through a guide tube to a rotating pot 15. The guide tube is rotatable about an axle 14 to facilitate cleaning and doffing. The'tension of the thread, being due to the action of the fluid and centrifugal force, may be maintained constant by increasing the speed of the pot as the inner diameter of the cake changes.
