388,348. Loud-speakers. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and OLIVER, D. A., c/o General Electric Co., Wembley, Middlesex. Oct. 26, 1932, No. 1793/33. Divided on 387,127. [Class 40 (iv).] The diaphragm 2 of a loud-speaker forms part of the wall 1 of a chamber, the wall 1 having apertures 3 whose area can be adjusted, preferably by rotating a annulus 4 apertured at 5. In this way the tonal characteristics of the loud-speaker may be varied. The handle 7, by which the annulus 4 is rotated, may be connected to electrical tone controls, so that the electrical and mechanical properties of the loud-speakers are always adjusted to each other.
