Abstract
388,076. Dividing dough. ROBERTSON, E. F., 40, Clouston Street, Glasgow. Aug. 20, 1931, No. 23444. [Class 87 (ii).] Dough descending from a hopper 1 is sheeted between intergeared rolls 2, 3 (of which the roll 2 has flanges embracing the roll 3), and is divided by a knife 7 mounted in a block 8 which is resiliently carried by rods 6<11> driven by a crank 61 and constrained by trunnioned guide sleeves 9. The cutter is stated to move radially of the roller 2 and also in the same direction as the roller during cutting. The cut pieces of dough are removed by a corrugated roll 11. Scrapers 13 are fitted to remove dough from the roller 2. The roller 3 is adjustable by a hand-wheel 15 to vary the thickness of the dough sheet.
