[Class 83 (iv).] In a machine for bending bars or plates two backrolls 7 are rotated through a worm drive 8 from a power shaft and co-operate with an idle roll on a shaft 31. The rolls 7 are carried on slides 2 adjustable by right- and left-hand tension screws 13 and the idle roller is adjustable by a screw 25. The adjusting mechanism is duplicated at the top and bottom of the rollers.
