Sheet-separators; pile tables and supports.- Sheet-feeding mechanism of the kind described in the parent Specification, in which a bank of sheets is supported on a table formed of a number of pivoted adjustable sections, the front edges of the sheets resting on an inclined ledge adjacent to a pair of rubber-covered feed and separating rolls as e, g, the adjacent peripheral surfaces of which rotate in opposite directions, is modified (a) by mounting the upper roller e in hinged side brackets cushioned on springs n, Fig. 2, and controlled by screws m, and (b) by arranging an adjustable guard member h, Figs. 4 and 5, with curved prongs h<1> to regulate theaction of the lower roller g. The guard h is longitudinally adjustable by means of nuts i, i<1> en. gaging a screwed stem h<11> on the guard. The stem passes through a block j which is laterally adjustable on a side plate k mounted transversely between the side frames of the machine.
