463,374. Straightening. SOKAL, S. (Maschinenbau Akt.-Ges. vorm. Ehrhardt & Sehmer) July 27, 1936, No. 20802. [Class 83 (iv)] In a plate-straightening machine with staggered rolls 4 supported in a frame, a short roll 5 adjustably axially of the rolls by a chain 7, is substituted for one of the rolls 4 to facilitate straightening. The roll 5 is supported in a frame 6b adjustable towards the work by a cam shaft 10. The chain 7 may be driven by a lever-controlled electromotor.
